I am buying a new Macbook and I will also be purchasing a Canopus ADVC55. I will be using this for VHS conversion as well as getting shows off my DVR. Here is my problem. I have a Dish Network DVR with the main DVR reciever in my living room. In order to get the DVR feed to my office it is uses the coaxial cable and a radio frequency remote. I would like to attach the coaxial feed to my MB but there is no coaxial input on the Canopus. I don't want to get an eyeTV, so I need a way to convert the coaxial to RCA. I obviously don't need it to act as a tuner so just a simple conversion. Any help would be appreciated.

Although I don't know of one, I'm sure there is a device that will convert coax into composite/s-video, but you are also going to take a quality hit going from coax as opposed to composite or S-video out of your DVR.
