I have a 27" iMac with a second monitor and I also have an LCD TV in my office. What I would LOVE to do is ditch the TV, and be able to take the stuff that is running into it, plug it into some magic "box" that would then let me just watch the output in some resizable window (in HD) on my Mac.

Is there *anything* that can do this on the mac?

Thanks -- not *quite* what I'm looking for -- it doesn't take an HD signal from the cable box (or a ROKU for that matter) and just "display" it in a window.

Has an MRoogle search brought up anything? It is likely that this question has been asked before. Maybe you will also get more replies if you change your thread title to something like:
How to watch HD TV on my iMac via the ROKU box?
