Hi, I was going to buy an HDTV (about 30") for my bedroom but I thought in something else, I rather would like to be able to receive TV signal into my MBP since 24"~30" LCD Displays are usually cheaper than the (TVs) and also have better resolution (a 1080p 30" HDTV is hard to find and usually over $600) also I'd like to be able to use my MBP as a PVR (record programs, and also pause, rewind on the fly.)
I use DirectTV so i'd need something to give the MBP some kind of HDMI input or something, also it should come with a PVR program

any suggestions?

I tried pinacle stick but it has a coaxial input which i think it will only work with over the air digital signal, I need something that can be connected to a directv set box
