Having a discussion with someone about video cards in MB and MBP and how they work with CS3 (photoshop, indesign, illustrator, etc)

Someone in the discussion mentioned that the video card in the MBP is really only helpful for 3d rendering.

Is this true?

Anyone know some more of the ins and outs of Video Cards and how it relates to running CS3?

(The discussion is to help someone decide between a MB and MBP)

Thanks!

The MacBook Can Handle All Of CS3 Applications With Ease But For 3D Rendering And More GPU Intensive Task Go MacBook Pro.

There are filters that rely heavily on GPU to get better results.
There is a test out there (I can't recall the link) where you can validate this.

CS3 Suite is very powerful and it really depends on how you use it so YMMV.

JM
