Video controls not appearing

It seems to happen randomly, but quite often.

I'll be watching a movie on the ipod, or youtube, and the controls dont ever appear.

No matter where or how often I tap the screen, they refuse to appear.

I have to hit the home button and come right out of it.

Anybody else ever come accross this?

Nobody else?

It just happened again.

It was working for the first few minutes perfectly, but after watching half an hour of video it wasn't responding to my touch at all.

Im wondering if its anything to do with the fact that Im using the headphones with the in line remote?
