Video converters

I have many AVI files in my collection and i need them to be converted to MOV . Can you recommend any video converters which would work AND i can choose the size for. I tried ffmpegx but it would not listen to the size i wanted so i gave up.

quicktime pro with Perian installed does all ! , or Perian installed and use iMovie 06 , under export you can mess arround with the format size.
