Can anyone recommend a basic database or similar application that would let me catalogue video files I store on my hard disk. I don't need the DVD collector type apps like I have found on Versiontracker and the ones I have tried don't meet my requirements. If I could write a db I would do it myself and the needs are a little too much for Excel. Iview didn't really do what I want (also its lack of various formats was an issue.. pay for the thing might as well use the features!).

Essentially I WANT to be able to list the program title and its place on the hard disk (this does not need to be interactive but if it can be that's great).

I.e.

Video Name, Description of the video program, category, location.

Then I guess the ability to resort the above views, maybe make a listing out and search over the database. It would be really neat if it could even run as a small database on the Mac's own web server, so a partner could look for "pigs" and see all the items I have stored on pigs, or just browse all the "animal documentary" or "computer commercials" that might appear in the category.

Any tips welcomed please. I have to resort the directory so might as well kill two birds with a stone!

Thank You !
