Video & Digital TV to Mac?

Hi, I'm in the UK and I'd like to grab footage from SKY+ digital box or my vcr. I have an imac and the full final cut pro studio package. I do have a camcorder but they are both Sony digital 8's not DV cams. Any tips? Thanks.

I second the Elgato 250 Plus, I was thinking about getting one from the US but discovered that the US version didn't have any of the EU standards even though the EU one has the US standards stupid really, personally I decided to wait for the one with HDMI inputs (After I discovered I wouldn't be able to use the US version) so I can connect SKY HD.
