There are several DVD ripper for Mac programmes out there, including Wondershare's, that provide an editing feature and that claim they support surround sound, but I have not been able to find a format that actually does what they claim. I can trim sections of a DVD, and join my clips together, but whatever format I select for output does not appear to support surround sound. Not having surround sound speakers on my Mac, the only way I can check is to burn a DVD using DVD Studio Pro.... (By the way, is there an easy way to attach surround sound speakers to a Mac?)
