Hey. I would love some suggestions for some video editing programs that might work on my G3 imac.

500Mhz
640MB ram
16MB graphics.

I would prefer freeware, and no imovie. Im not looking for anything too extreme, just some basic or above average editing.

If you can get anything other than an old version of iMovie to work on that system, I will be truly impressed. Heck, even on a brand new computer I'm not aware of any video editing packages that come close to competing with old versions of iMovie in terms of ease of use.

You can of course use QuickTime pro for very basic cut-and-paste editing, but it gets unwieldy if you're doing much more than combining or trimming a few clips.
 
Can't think of free software. But I would think you should be able to find an old version of Adobe Premiere 5 to 6.5 for less than $20 that would run well on that G3 in Mac OS 9.
