iPod touch Video editing software for PC?

I've been recording some videos for the family on my iPod Touch and want to learn how to edit them. Can anybody recommend some relatively newbie friendly software for PC? I just have to do simple stuff like add music and text over my videos.

Windows Movie Maker?

Or, if it has changed name, its equivalent in the Windows Live suite.

Hrmm... Windows Movie Maker doesn't seem to support mov files, unless I'm doing something wrong.
