I am looking for software advice for editing my web cam videos. I tried using iMovie, but I think that it is too complicated for my needs.

I'd like something that would allow me to click and drag images or type text directly onto the video within a few minutes. Not interested in editing lighting or sound.

Anything like that?

"Editing" lighting can only be done on the set, or with some big post production effects software.

As the second poster mentioned, there is Final Cut Pro, but there is also Final Cut Express, which is a lighter version of FCP, but should suffice your needs, as FCP might be to overblown, especially with the other software that comes bundled with it.

You could also give Adobe Premiere Elements a try - there is even a 30-day fully working trial on adobe.com.
