Hi guys, I'm going to start doing some video editing. I was wondering what software you guys would recommend? This is mainly for youtube. I do get an 80% student discount for all adobe software or should I go with one of the Final Cut softwares?

Thanks for all suggestions

iMovie? It comes with your Mac. Ideal for YouTube, depending on how technical you want your editing.

If iMovie doesn't fit your needs, try Adobe Premiere since you get a discount. Don't get Final Cut right now, in my opinion, because they're going to be updating it relatively soon and it's a lot of money to shell out.

Definitely start with iMovie, that is what I started with. Then I moved to final cut express, and the to final cut studio 3. Mess around with iMovie first, if you find it limiting, switch to final cut express or adobe and relearn. There will be a learning curve, but well worth it.
