Adobe launched their line of Professional Video Editing software to compete against FCP X. So check into them as well because they have a trial just like FCP X does. iMovie and FCP X are a lot alike, it's not as professional as it used to be. However I still love using FCP X so I'm sticking with them trusting that the next few updates will bring it back up to par, plus $299 is pretty sweet.
