Hello all!

I currently use Final Cut Express for most of my video editing needs and it works just fine for most editing needs. However, I've got an idea that I want to accomplish I'm sure would be better suited for an effects-oriented software.

What I'm wanting is a piece of software that's geared towards taking various types of media, photos, video, audio and compositing them in a visual effects oriented way. For example, taking several hundred photos and shrinking them down very small into a grid that fills up the screen, or quickly advancing through a sequence of several hunderd photos at 29 fps.

I'd love to find a wonderful companion software for Final Cut Express that allows me to construct these sorts of visual effects shots to be placed in my FCE movies.

Am I looking for something along the lines of Shake or Final Cut Studio's Motion? Or am I looking for something a little different? Is this something that can be accomplished using FCE?

Thanks!
