iPod touch ~VIDEO FAIL - 3.1 software update has made my videos stop working!

A few weeks ago I downloaded the $4.95, 3.1 software update from the iTunes store for my iPod Touch (second generation)
Since then all online videos have stopped working: YouTube and all other online video sites that I previously used without any hassle!
I've tried reseting the date as suggested in other topics, but this hasn't helped?
ANY ADVICE! PLEASE! :( :( :(
