Is there any hack out there that allows the ipod touch or iphone to support video file formats like Avi and mkv? I hate converting my videos to MP4. Any help would be appreciated.

is it just intrinsicly impossible? What about the iPod touch that makes multiple file support impossible?

Well... SOmeone COULD, in theory, rewrite, or add a new codec... They're located at /System/Library/VideoDecoders...

The only alternative as of now is the converter that you can install... I forget what it was called, but it was kinda slow, and ate battery really quickly.

Does anyone know where to get a (Free) program to convert to MP4?
