Hi all,

This is a tough one to explain but I'm going to take a stab at it anyway.

Over the last few weeks, I've had several instances of video files becoming corrupt. I downloaded the files as .mp4s. When I downloaded them, they functioned perfectly, playing in both QuickTime and iTunes. After a few days (maybe a week), I went to finish watching the videos and none of them worked.

QuickTime and iTunes will both open the files and begin to play them, but as the timecode ticks, nothing happens. No video or audio.

I have tested them in VLC and the same exact thing happened. I have also copied the files onto different hard drives. I'm running the most recent 10.7.x version of Lion. What's with the change?
