I'm using FinalCut Express HD.

So I'm using the Color Corrector to make everything black & white except for one select color. Let's say blue for example. However, there's 2 blue things in the picture & I only want one of them left in color. Is there a way to manipulate video filters in Final Cut based on a selected region?

Can I not apply the filter an area? Only apply it?

Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated.

Try this,
V1: Video clip all B&W except for the 2 blue objects
V2. Video clip all B&W but cropped to cover up the "other" blue object that you don't want to be blue.

This should work as long as your two blue objects don't cross paths (i.e. a guy in a blue shirt walks in front of a blue billboard).
