After taking my first video with my phone and playing it back, I noticed a small scrollable timeline on the top of the video. By sliding back and forth, you can view the video frame by frame. At any point, your able to tap on the still picture frame and the option for copy comes up.

My question is, how to we paste or save that particular frame after its been copied?

Thanks.

I don't get that option on mine, but what I do instead is get the frame I want on screen, let the video controls disappear, then hold down the power button and press the home button. This puts a screen grab in the camera roll.

Hope that helps.

You're taking a screen shot, which may be the best way to do it, but you're not actually exporting it from iMovie in any way.
