I have some videos in my Canon SD400 that I'd like to put in my powerbook, but I don't know how. When I first plugged my camera in my computer, iphoto automatically did everything so I never bothered to use the canon software. I'm in Paris studying right now and my Canon CD is at home in the states. Is there a way to get the video without the CD?

thanks

The videos should be automatically imported into iPhoto. This may require iPhoto 6. Otherwise Image Capture can get them...

thanks so much, the image capture did the job!

iPhoto needs to have a way to import still frames from a digital video camera. I know you can do this with iMovie and then an import into iPhoto, but that's kind of a hassle.

My camcorder has both USB and Firewire connections. When connected via USB iPhoto does import my still pics.

Really? Well, then that's awesome! What about if it's connected via Firewire?
