Video in iphoto burn to dvd???

I have a sony cybershot camera that ive taken video on and i imported it into iphoto.My question is how do i burn a dvd of these videos that will play on dvd players.I believe the video on cybershot is taken in mpeg 4 code?Do ineed to convert it??

Drag to the movie into iDVD.

Basically, start a new project in iDVD. And where drag the movie onto the menu. iDVD will do all the reencoding for you. No need to do anything but drag and drop.
