video,music play back choppy/lost sync

everytime I stream my itunes to my macbook some of my tunes get choppy and it sounds like a error in the song encoding. but it doesn't it to any song.

also playing back movies on frontrow, the video keeps losing sync and goes to blue screen for a second then switches back on??

all this with leopard install?
