Thanks

Thanks for the info! Question for you, have you noticed your new 15" run abnormally warm or hot at all? I ask because I have seen posts by other users here with that problem. Hopefully it is an isolated incident because I am getting the same model you have in the video shipped to me!

Nice job Blake!
Thanks!

You are welcome! Honestly I haven't spent a whole lot of time with it yet other than what you see in the video, and I also edited and encoded the video in iMovie afterward. I did not notice any overheating. Hopefully yours will be problem-free. Enjoy it!

It's amazing how snappier the new one seems. I guess that 1333 MHz memory makes a big difference paired with the SB processor. I'm upgrading from an early 2009 model, so I expect to see an even larger speed difference between my old one and new one.

Nice video, thanks for putting that together. It was very informative.
The only differences i like arent enough for me to go get one just yet.
Mine is barely 6 months old, and it is doing the job.

Thanks again :)

Wow! And that's with the 5400rpm drive, too.

This makes me super excited to get my 7200rpm new 15". :D

Thank you!

Thanks for all your videos. I really enjoy them. Just wish I could afford a new laptop right now..

Thanks for the video
The 2nd gen looks way faster than the 1st gen.

Would you tell me how nosiy is the 2nd when it unders load?

thanks

Yeah, should be even more noticeable.

A nice, non-technical tour of real world comparisons. Easy viewing.
Thanks for watching, exactly the reaction I was hoping for.

Thanks for that. I gave it thumbs up :D

Thanks and you're welcome. I think with proper maintenance and perhaps minor upgrades, most recent Apple computers should last several years for the vast majority of consumers. I still have a 2006 white iMac serving up the Web in my dining room.

Thanks for watching! Yeah I think this thing would be great with an SSD too, if you don't need the space. Prices aren't bad if you buy from a third party and installing drive and OS X isn't difficult either.

You are welcome! Hey I just saw this ad somewhere on the Internet... apparently new MacBook Pros are being sold for pennies on the dollar! iPads too! ;)

Thanks for the video

It took about 25 minutes for iMovie to encode the video in 1080p. I could definitely tell the fan was running, but I wouldn't call it noisy at all. I hope this helps.
