I know that the 30 pin adapter doesnt allow for video out. Does anyone know if it's a hardware issue that will never allow for the iPhone 5 to have video out through composite or component cables that use a 30 pin connector ; or is it possible that a software update could allow it? I am keeping my iPhone 4 to use as an iPod touch because of this issue. I use the video out capabilities on a regular basis at the gym and also use composite cables on occasion.

I have the composite cable, I know those exist, but to clarify, my question is will the iPhone ever be able to work with those accessories through another adapter or a software update with the current adapter apple sells, or if the new design of the iPhone makes it impossible to work with those old cables.
