i am sure this has been discussed before but the search engine sucks. What are my options for hooking my iphone 3gs up to a screen. i want to hook it up in my truck to my Alpine IVA W200. Any suggestions? Also, the IVA W200 has a hookup for an ipod that charges it and allows you to control songs on the screen but it wont work with my iphone. Any way around this?

you have to use the apple video out cable..

does it have to be the apple brand cable or can you just use any 1/8th inch to rca cable?

It has to have the Apple chip in the cord to display video. Also, you will need an adaptor to make your Alpine unit charge your iPhone.
