Video output of new Mac mini

I have a late 2014 Mac mini I use it to watch BBC iplayer. I am not in the UK so this is the most convenient way for me to watch it. Will I get a better picture quality on a 4K TV if I upgrade to the new Mac Mini.

I'm not from the UK but my understanding is BBC iPlayer doesn't support 4K on Macs (or Windows for that matter), unless they've updated it recently.

Hi. Thanks for that. Does a Mac do any upscaling for display devices or is that only done by the display itself?
