For whatever reason, my latest generation iMac, running latest mac OS will just struggle with video playback every once in a while. The only fix is to reboot. Basically, it would stutter while playing youtube or gif or any video really.

I find that the computer become like this after some heavy computation, like video work in final cut pro or photo work with LR. It's almost like the computer is crippled after working too hard. Even though at the moment of lag, there's very little cpu or ram or disk usage.

Anyone else have this or any ideas?

What iMac model do you have? Specs?

What web browser are you using? (Safari, Chrome, etc.)

Safari. Interesting you asked, I just tested and Chrome seems to be fine...
