This may not be the correct place for this question, but I'm willing to give it a shot. :)

A friend of mine gave me a DVD-R of CSI episodes from last season (debate the legality of that elsewhere, please) and I can't figure out why the 360 won't play the raw files back.

According to this FAQ @ msdn.com, the videos should playback (see attached) ... unless I'm misreading or misunderstanding something.

Anyone have any experience or any idea what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

I dont know if this helps? Are the files compressed? I myself recently came across an xvid movie containing files of this nature. I used a little to utility called UnRarx to decompress (very simple and free). Then converted using isync and streamed to my 360 using connect360. Hope this helps.
