Hello everyone,

I am a new user of modern Macs and totally stuck with what should be quite simple to do.

There is a small SMPTE application that displays time code received via audio from one of the variouos mac pro audio input channels.

I downloaded this application to test I was receiving timecode correctly and it works perfectly. I send the timecode via an external master timecode generator XR300 that also sends timecode to other devices. So its a master clock.

I am now looking for a simple Mac OS video player that can also read time code from an audio source ( Input ) just as the small applicaion does above and play a loaded video based on the received timecode.

The actual end result I am looking for is send timecode to the mac and have it play a video and output to the secondary video output channel, a perfect sittuation would be to also play the audio aswell output to the focusrite firewire sound card.

I have a Mac Pro duel intel quad core
mac os 10.5.4
10 gigs of ram
800 gigs of space using 3 drives
external firewire focusrite saffire sound card
rack mounted xr300 smpte syncroniser for the time code generation
and no money left for expensive software :(

Welcome any help
