For example, if I want to play a 1080p video, I'd like the player to display the video using exactly 1920x1080 pixels (or pixel doubled at 3840x2160). I don't want fractional scaling to be applied, as I've noticed this causes the image to look soft and somewhat blurry on such a high resolution display.

I know this will be small on my 4k iMac (I guess roughly 1/4 of the screen) for a 1080p video.

Is there a setting I'm not seeing in QuickTime or VLC that allows for this? Basically, I want to determine the scaling (1x, 1.5x, 2x, etc).
