Video playing with hiccups on Thunderbolt display with macbook air

Hello Guys,

I seem to have an unique and a weird problem,

I have a MBA, mid 2011 and when I connect thunderbolt monitor with it, the youtube videos are playing with hiccups. When I play any video on just MBA, it plays fine.

Also HD videos present in MBA hard disk play fine on thunderbolt.

There was no problem for 1.5 years but it started happening since last week. I had not updated to maverick so I have updated to maverick 10.9.5 and I have also installed the thunderbolt firmware update.

But the problem persists. Can anyone help on this ?
