Recently, I decided to get my 12" PB G4 (1.33ghz) off the shelf and fire it up.

Basically, it is working fine except for a completely black LCD. The backlight seems to work fine. Video is displayed correctly on an external monitor (so I don't think it's a GPU issue). Just nothing on the screen.

No obvious damage. No drops or falls since the last time it was working. I'm at a loss.

Thoughts?

It could be a disconnected or faulty LVDS cable. It connects to two places, the LCD screen and the logicboard. First try resetting the PRAM. What does the sleep light do during this whole process?

I need to look up the PRAM reset.

As for the sleep light, it seems to behave as it should- sleep on initial close, wakeup on external keyboard.

I agree. If the PRAM doesnt fix it, maybe you need to wiggle the cable to the logicboard so that it may reconnect

Tried the PRAM reset... no change. Also tried the PMU rest with no change.

I think we're definitely down to the cable or LCD.

I've got a working screen and 12" lid with all the works. Let me know if you need it.
