Video Problems 10.13.6 - rMB

Computer is a 12" retina MacBook running 10.13.6. Using a dongle for a second display has not worked since I updated to 10.13.6. It worked fine on .5. I've tried a bunch of things (for example, SMC reset) and can't get it to work. The dongle isn't the problem, because it works fine with a new MBA running 10.14.1.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

Closing this out. Solved the problem with a Cmd+R reinstallation of the OS. Easy, painless and effective.
