Video problems in Portal

Hello,

I've been playing Valve's Portal on my system since the Mac version came out, and everything worked just fine. But a couple of updates ago, a very bad problem started: regardless of the video settings, as soon as I move the mouse the video gets really jittery, to the point where it's unplayable.

It used to be perfectly smooth, and now it's really bad.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
