Hello.
I am seriously considering buying this camcorder instead of the Canon HF100.
I will be going snowboarding soon and in the summer I will be doing lots of watersports. I want a waterproof camcorder to video these and I think that the Sanyo VPC-WH1 that has just been released is the best waterproof camcorder available.
I realize that waterproof cases are available to the HF100 but they make the camcorder to big and bulky to keep in a pocket whilst snowboarding.
So, how does the video quality of the Sanyo compare to the Canon?
Thanks a lot.

I realize that the Sanyo VPC-WH1 isn't out yet. But can someone please tell me what they think it will be like based on specifications?

W/o seeing video from the camera itself it's impossible to know what the quality will be like especially on small, 'gimmicky', consumer cameras like that Sanyo.

Yeah. I know that Sanyo are a cheap brand. I know they don't compare to Canon. I just thought what with the HD recording and the new image stabilization feature in iMovie 09' that I could get some pretty good footage.
