Hi!

I tried cinematic mode video on my iPhone 13 Pro and noticed that video flickers (micro-sturltters) while moving around the camera (Both, when taking video and during playback).

I tested ‘normal’ video and noticed that the same flicker occurs in all settings with 30fps. When I swith video to 60fps the (d)effect goes away.

There are no such setting for Cinematic though. Tried other settings but without any luck.

Anyone experiencing similar issues?

Try moving hand slowly in front of the camera to replicate it.

Flicker is also more visible in well lit areas.

Is the flickering visible on the phone or when you watch it on another display? This could make the difference
I checked and it is visible when played on my iPad’s (11’ Pro) screen.

It surely depends on different light situations. At some points it is more visible, at some - everything is ok.

PAL 25 does not change anything for ‘standart video’, and this is also not available for Cinematic.

If you try an app with manual control, and set the frame rate to 60fps and shutter speed to 1/100th second, does it still flicker?

P.S. I actuay tried taking a video with my iPad 11’ M1 and still see the same effect.

Haven’t tried a manual app yet.

I was outside and tried to take a short video sampe in Cinematic mode. In my opinion it flickers a lot (see the attached file).
