I would like to import some video from a camcorder onto my laptop for editting, but I have no idea where to start. Do I need special software? Is there any good FREE software out there for this? My camcorder will connect to my laptop via FireWire, but I'm not sure if I need software. I do have some video editting software for my PC, but my PC does not have a firewire port. Any help would be great, thanks.
