In our latest video review, we went hands-on with two iPhone cases from Moshi, a well-known accessory maker that develops cases, cables, screen protectors, and more for Apple's line of iOS devices.

Moshi's iGlaze Armour and iGlaze Napa, two of the cases we looked at, are available for both the iPhone 6/6s and the iPhone 6/6s Plus. The iGlaze Armour, with its aluminum backplate, is solid and sturdy without adding too much bulk to the iPhone. It offers a good amount of protection, with rubber sides to add padding in case an iPhone is dropped.

The iGlaze Napa features a design that's similar to the iGlaze Armour, but with a vegan leather backing in a variety of colors. It isn't built quite the same way, but it's just as sturdy.

The iPhone cases in the video are available for purchase from the Moshi website. The iGlaze Armour for the iPhone 6s is priced at $39.99, while the 6s Plus version is available for $44.99. The iGlaze Napa for the iPhone 6s is priced at $44.95 and the iPhone 6s Plus version is $49.95.

Note: Moshi provided an iGlaze Napa and an iGlaze Armour to MacRumors free of charge for the purposes of this review. No other compensation was received.

Moshi has nice products. They look like nice cases but I could never spend 40 to 50.00 for an iPhone case, they just get beat up too much. However I did spend that much for a moshi versacover for my iPad as it won't get beat up with daily use at home.

Give it a few weeks, Moshi isn't partially known for quality.

Vegan Leather? I think that is called Vinyl.

Yep, I hate that. Vegan leather... What about sticking to honesty and just call it what it has always been, fake leather.

Apple put the logo on the case because they're allowed to... No need for a hole

Who the hell needs to see / show that it is Apple iPhone?!? If that is required then instead of investing on a case I suggest therapy sessions.

I was simply saying that Apple don't have the dilemma that 3rd party manufacturers have (between having an apple logo vs not having a hole), so the user comparing it to Apple cases wasn't fair. Don't bite my head off

I agree. I call it the Apple Glory Hole, and I dislike cases with it.
HAH. I'm using this now. I never buy cases with that. It screams "Look at me, look at me, I have an iPhone" even though nobody is impressed by that any more. In addition, I often find cases that have an Apple hole are usually crappy cases on Amazon. So it just makes me think cheap and show-offy.

Hi there - so sorry to hear about your less-than-stellar experience with our case. We've actually updated the case construction to mitigate the TPU-splitting issue after we noticed it in one of our earliest product batches. We're more than happy to replace the case - please send us an email at support@moshi.com and our customer service team can help you out.

Is it just me, or does having a circle to show off the Apple logo look tacky? I've never liked it... even Apple cover up their own logo with their cases (mine has a little apple branded into the leather, but it has essentially worn off now and is difficult to see).

IMO unless you're all about showing off the fact you have an Apple product, hiding the Apple logo is the 'neater' thing to do. I wish the option existed because these cases look decent otherwise.

I like going naked, I like the way it feels. No added weight or bulk.

As for my phone, I use a case. These looks nice.

I do like the leather but hate the bulk. Is there - apart from the support it probably gives to the outer structure - any reason why you need to have an enforced back?

I loved the simple bumper band case for the 4S as it protected the phone from the occasional drop.

I'm not a case designer but if I were I'd try to make a much thinner leather case, sticked to the back by some kind of non agressive adhesive. Exactly as the Moshi iGlaze Napa, but much thinner. Because the adhesive it won't be really designed to be removed. On the engineering part, perhaps overheating faux leather would result in a more plastic-ish substance which can be molded into the outer-edges protection?

No offense Matt, but your intonation has a sing-song quality to it that makes your videos difficult to listen to. You sound unconfident. Since public speaking is a key part of your job I think improving your voice tone would go a long way. You're professional and knowledgeable so I hope you won't take this as an insult. Just my 2 cents: https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-40495.html

Sorry mate! Didn't mean to "bite anyone's head off". Even though quoting your post my answer wasn't really directed towards you but more or less towards the whole "round hole in back of a case" trend. Subjectively, I believe it's sure way of ruining the aesthetics of any otherwise nice looking case.
