I'm using a macbook pro with mountain lion and I'm trying to record my screen with quicktime to make a video. All I get in the end is a green screen with the proper audio.

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong area or someone else has asked this question and received the answer, I'm new to this site.

Have you tried playing the screen capture back in a different media player?......VLC maybe :)

I have same issue and am trying to figure it out! I know it worked correctly a couple months ago but now something has changed.

This seems to be graphic card switching issue. I had this green screen issue in recording on Mountain Lion OS. But later i got this fixed with update of Mountain Lion. Currently i have ML 10.8.5. OR you can try "gfx card status" app to handle your graphic card switching
