I was wondering how big the MacBook and iPad Pro display regular 16:9 or 2.35:1 video, considering their different aspect ratios. And because I'm lazy and stupid, I thought I would ask it here instead of trying to figure it out myself!

Obviously you're getting more letterboxing on the iPad Pro, but then it has a bigger screen, so it's gotta be close, right?

anyone know of a website with a screen size calculator? i.e. you input the diagonal dimension and the aspect ratio and it works out what the H/W is?

iPP: 10.35" x 7.75"
Macbook 12": 10.19" x 6.37"

I would say the visible size for letter boxed video would be only a little larger on the iPad pro.
