In the PS4 announcement tonight the Sony guys (sorry, I think it might have been Andrew House) talked about the main concepts behind the creation of PS4. Two of them was Simplicity and Elegance, and there was some talk about how Simplicity as a concept drives Elegance or something to that effect.
