I would like to create an animation gif from a selected part of a video.

I've looked high and low and cant find such an application for the Mac.
Only for Win.

Does anyone know of such an application?

Doesn't QuickTime Pro let you do this? (I haven't gotten around to buy a pro license so I cannot check.) I think you can save (part of) a movie as an image sequence...

I don't know if this is a bit complicated, but you can download Flash from the Macromedia site (trial), import a video into a new project and then export it as .gif :p ... too complicated? Say yes, cuz it is.
