I'm trying to transfer video from my Sony HDR-HC5 Camcorder to my new MacBook Pro. Can someone please tell me which firewire I need and if I need some sort of adapter as well? The people at Best Buy were no help at all. Thanks!

This camera doesn't have FireWire, but USB. So you'll use the USB cable to connect to your MacBook Pro for transferring the video.

Not only does it support USB for transferring the pictures off the card, it has a firewire port under the bottom cover (where you open the side screen) for video transfer off the mini DV. I found the firewire I used to use with it, and plugged it into my old MacBook. I think all I need is the adapter for the new MacBook Pro and I'll be set.
