Video/TV stream app that works with video out?

I have an iphone5s and an hdmi adapter. When I travel I play my movies stored on the iphone to the hotel room's TV. It's works great.

I have the directv app and streaming works great on the phone however the "video out" is disabled?

Are there any video/TV streaming apps that work with video out?
