So I was on the computer when I decided to rename my video files I took with my camera...big mistake because now I can't find them and I don't have time machine on. I was due to get an external hard drive for christmas too. Is there anyway that I can recover the videos? Thankful there not really important....just vacation videos. I also have downloading the free trial versions of some of the file recovery and they find the files but the computer cant open them.
