Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use a video camera with Photobooth instead of the built in sight camera.

EDIT: Trying to do this over USB as i dont have an RCA capture card

Can the following help?

PS: If the above link does not work and you want help in troubleshooting that problem, provide the following information:
  • Mac OS X version
  • Mac model (+ year or better)
  • camera model

Thanks @simsaladimbamba for your assistance - although its not working. I think it has to do with my camera not being able to live stream over USB.

I have a 27" Late 2012 iMac OSX 10.9

I am trying to get it to work with a Panasonic HC-V500M

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Rang Panasonic - they said the camera is not compatible with this - thanks anyway for your help

Sorry to hear, I found as much, as I remember, but got called away.

You can look for compatible cameras or even invest in a webcam, as far as I know, Logitech offers Mac compatible ones with good quality and acceptable prices.
