Hey everyone,

This has been driving me nuts for weeks now. The issue is only occurring in Safari (Chrome is fine). Has anyone else encountered this? If it's a bug with the Beta that's fine. If its something else id really like to get it resolved. anyone have any ideas?

I have the same. And it seems I have a wider issue with video playback on Big Sur. Chrome plays videos fine, but I can't play video in many of the Apple apps - including Safari, TV, and Developer. :-( Think it started with Beta 6.

Thanks for letting me know. Sounds like its related to the beta so I'll just hang tight until its fixed. Hopefully your issues are also resolved

I get video playback errors in Safari and Firefox (when viewing youtube and occasionally reddit videos). Started with one of the betas, so I'm assuming it's a MacOS bug. Sometimes the videos play for a while before erroring, and many people on reddit with the same issue say they can play for longer with ad blockers disabled.

If it's the same issue as in the thread below, it could be a DRM problem.
