Does it seem odd that videos (mp4) transferred to iPad play in the Photos app? It seems like there should be a Video app for that. Or am I missing something?

That's how it's meant to be, yeah. The Photos app includes videos. There's even an album labelled video in it. Films and whatnot play in the videos app
