Videos shot on the iPhone 5 problem

Hi all

I shot a short video, 15 seconds, on the iPhone 5 tonight. I then emailed that video to my iPad 3 and my daughters iPhone 4. The email came through fine but when we clicked on the mov icon the video app opened then closed again and we ended back at the email message.

Can anyone help?
